Award-winning Author Rewrites the Roswell Mythology

Tucson, Arizona – April 29, 2016 – Roswell. Area 51. The X-Files. Movies and television have made us all familiar with the spindly-legged, bulbous-headed aliens known as "the Greys." According to the well-known mythology, their saucer-shaped ship crashed into the desert near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 and since they've become universally known icons that represent "alien."

Tucson author Natalie Wright, a long-time fan of shows such as Roswell and The X-Files, set out to answer the questions never answered in these pop-culture phenomenon shows. Who are the Greys? Where are they from? And why are they visiting Earth?

In Wright's first sci-fi novel, H.A.L.F.: The Deep Beneath, she wove a story steeped in territory familiar to sci-fi fans. "My goal was to use the known Roswell mythology and pull readers into a familiar world," Wright says.

But in the second installment in the series, H.A.L.F.: The Makers, everything readers think they know is turned on its head. Wright not only answers our questions about the Greys, but readers are introduced to an entirely new and exciting species of alien. "It was great fun to create an entirely new species from the ground up, complete with their own language. I hope readers have as much fun with the M'Uktah as I had creating them."

H.A.L.F.: The Deep Beneath (H.A.L.F. #1) was awarded several prizes in its first year, including a Silver Medal in the Wishing Shelf Book Awards; Runner-Up in the Beach Book Festival awards; Semi-Finalist in the Kindle Review awards; and was chosen by Library Journal to be a part of its curated eBook collection for libraries.

Wright's much-anticipated follow-up, The Makers, is available now in paperback and will release in eBook and Hardcover on May 10, 2016. Preorders available now and Wright is offering an exclusive package of bonus content available only to pre-order customers. View the offer and the book's webpage here.

Early Reviewers Say:
‘An enthralling, page-turning sci-fi adventure. The makings of an epic!’ ~ The Wishing Shelf

"The characters spring off the page. The author knows her characters through and through and this shows in the consistent and very individual way they act. The author skips between the central characters and keeps the reader riveted till the very end. Just a note, I’m a big fan of Erika; she’s a pretty cool chick and a fantastic pivotal character. If you are looking for a fascinating sci-fi adventure populated with interesting characters and an intriguing setting, this book is for you.

When I started this book, I thought it was mostly plot-driven. Then I changed my mind and decided it was mostly characer-driven. Then it dawned on me. It's both. A very rare thing."~ A Wishing Shelf Review
